About Teryn

Hey! I am Teryn and I am originally from Columbia, South Carolina and I lived in Dallas, Texas for a bit where I was an assistant buyer by day and fashion designer by night and weekend. Now, I am living in Charleston, South Carolina (for now). My “fashion” goal is to launch my fashion label and go into costume design. I love the idea of crafting and telling a story through garments and styling. Another goal of mine is to be able to sustain myself as a creative and then use my resources to fund and support other Black creatives. I believe in “lifting as we climb” and I want to stay true to that. There are so many things that we can accomplish if we just say, “yes.”

Here on this blog and on my YouTube channel, I want to help my audience with my knowledge and experiences when it comes fashion, beauty, and overall life. There are so many things that I have learned so far and I enjoy sharing. My goal is to stay authentic while I discuss life. The world evolves and so do our lives which is why my topics seem a bit broad.

What I think sets me apart is that I like to actually think about my content. A lot of people like fashion for the style and clothes, but I actually know and understand the research behind it because I do it. While I’m no expert in beauty, my goal when I produce content related to is to be as accurate as possible and provide resources to or from actual professionals.

I wanted to create a space where I can have an outlet for creativity and also keep track of all things that I do. I figured that by starting this blog and YouTube channel would also help me learn more about photography and videography. Be sure to subscribe to my channel.
