Sunday in Downtown Charleston with the Best Pizza

About a month of Sundays ago, I had dinner in downtown Charleston. Now downtown is a major tourist attraction and I’m not the fondest of the area because of this, but it’s cute as you can see in my very cute picture.

Enough about me. This is really about the food. Downtown Charleston has a LOT of restaurants. Most of them are American cuisines and it’s literally on the coast so expect your seafood, soul food, and barbecue. We ventured out to an Italian restaurant by the name of Indaco. It was pretty dark inside so think of it as a romantic setting. I guess it would be considered that by the excessive PDA by a couple that was clearly in love at the bar. I love love by the way. I like to look nice pretty much wherever I go, but based on what other guests were wearing, you’ll be fine looking more casual especially because it’s hot and the sidewalks are not the best. We made reservations, but it wasn’t too crowded, but it’s a great option because we are still in a pandemic.

Let’s get into Bianca… that’s the name of the pizza I ordered. When I tell you this pizza was magnificent. I am very basic when it comes to my pizzas and I’m pretty much always a “just cheese” girl. The cheeses on this delicious pizza consist of smoked mozzarella, ricotta, fontina, and Parmesan. Need I say more? Where I was seated, I could see my pizza in what I am pretty sure was a wood fire oven. It was baked to perfection and I want you to try it.

The staff was super great. I love their uniforms of white, button-up shirts, and medium to dark wash jeans. It’s cool, very hipster-ish.

That’s all. I just wanted to recommend a good spot and let you know to stay masked and enjoy yourself a little while staying safe. For myself, I will probably go back to sitting in my apartment for the most part because of these new Greek alphabet variants.

Also, if you’re not in Charleston but are elsewhere in the Carolinas, don’t worry because they have a location in Charlotte, North Carolina as well.
